We all know that despite many scriptures to the contrary, JW's believe that when they die, their consciousness will cease. My question is this: What will be the likely reaction of JW's if they find themselves conscious after death?

COVID 19 - DISSOCIATION LETTER
by gavindlt indear friends,.
i think you all know me as a person who has always strived, despite my imperfections to only ever wanting to be and remain in the “truth”.
it is in fact what i so desperately want for my son ashton and my baby girl honey bee, to be lovers of truth and grow up to be a loyal servants of jehovah god and his son, jesus christ.

My understanding is that the elders are trained to only skim the letter and find the part where it is stated that they no longer want to be a JW.
That's why I never wrote a letter to the elders. I wrote one to my mom and dad instead. I think it made some points with my mom.Later, when I gave my personal testimony at my church, I had it video taped. I mailed a DVD to mom and dad.
My dad wrote back that he took the dvd to the back yard and chopped it up with an ax.... true story. At least they can't accuse me of being "weak"; which is how most members who leave are described. It was important to me to defeat the WT on their own terms, theologically.

Churches are conducting an ecomenic service on Sun 5.p.m. at St. Petri Church in Hamburg.
Might be a good opportunity for xjw's to attend and explain how it is impossible to leave the JW's without getting shunned and losing family and friends.
Most people are only vaguely aware of the extent of the WT shunning policy. -

Terrible thing to go through wozza.
Galatians 3: 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Oooops, guess we weren't supposed to pick up on this one either.
The another one I remember bothering me as a kid was Samuel's spirit being brought back. That totally contradicted the WT description of death.1 Sam. 15 - Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel. 12And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
13And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 14And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
15And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee... -

Hi Konagirl,
Here's a good discussion centered on the leaders the apostles trained and what they predominately thought about a literal thousand reign: https://colemanford.wordpress.com/2011/07/30/the-millenium-what-the-early-church-believed-part-1-of-4/

Christ's Brothers
by enoughisenough incooperate with christ’s representatives.
shortly before his death, jesus mentioned another way in which we can follow his leadership.
he said: “he that receives anyone i send receives me also.” (john 13:20) in fact, jesus spoke of his anointed representatives as his “brothers.” (matt.

They can keep saying let Bible should interprete itself but we know they don't follow that mantra
You are correct. Here are some of their tricks:
1. They take a verse like Romans 6: 7 out of context and use it to deny the purpose of Jesus sacrifice.
2. They go back to the Old Testament and find a scripture that suits their purposes, then use it to override an established NT doctrine.3. When they run accross a NT scripture that proves their new doctine to be wrong, they give it a symbolic spin and say it's not meant to be understood literally.
I believe that WT literature is specifically designed to innoculate people against receiving the 'simplicity of Christ".
2 Cor. 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
I was pretty much an atheist for around 8 years after leaving. As I began to understand the depth of various deceptions, I got to wondering why would anyone put forth so much complicated effort to obscure the biblical narrative, unless there was something to it. -

Jesus created Michael who later became Jesus- am I wrong in that answer- according to org, yes- according to logic, no!
Yes, you got it right. Completely illogical. Here is that Hebrews 1 verse in context. My comments are in bold:
4 having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For to which of the angels did He ever say:
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?
(Jesus was begotten because he has the same essence as Jehovah. Conversely, angels were created, not begotten)
And again:
“I will be to Him a Father,
And He shall be to Me a Son”?
6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says:
“Let all the angels of God worship Him.”
(Angels are commanded to woship Jesus because he has the same essence as his father. As a side note, he has the same essence as his mother too, making him related to us as a "kinsman redeemer".
7 And of the angels He says:
“Who makes His angels spirits
And His ministers a flame of fire.”
8 But to the Son He says:
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
Jehovah calls Jesus God because... again he has the same essence as his father as an "only begotten son".

yes, that is the old “I don’t like that scripture so make it symbolic” trick.

Watchtower Museums
by eyeslice innow covid restrictions are over, they're pushing on with watchtower museums at many locations through out the world.. looks to me as if they'll be pretty boring.
a few old bibles and photos of the witnessing work from way back when.. one things for sure is they won't include anything relating to constantly changing doctrines or have libraries full of old publications that have since been swept under the carpet..

Perhaps a section on how they made the Malawi male members go to prison and even to their deaths for not carrying a card, but at the same time in Mexico members were allowed to bribe officials to get a false card that stated that they had completed a military course.
They would be a museum worth visiting. -

by ExBethelitenowPIMA inhi everyone i’m not pimi or pimo i’m pima.. i don’t think the gb have everything right but i’m sitting on the fence that maybe they do some things.. if the great trib starts i will jump that side of the fence.. this is a definite little sneaky advantage dodging but even by their own doctrine last min some could come in.. i suspect many are like me.. i spent years in bethel and am very disappointed and disillusioned by it all.. but at the end of the day i love the bible and think it is the word of god and i don’t see any other religion that comes as close to what jesus describes his true followers or who are fulfilling mat 24:14..

ExBethelitenowPIMA,

Have you ever wondered why the apostles didn't teach "the good news of the kingdom" ?
God gave the apostles and Christians the "ministry of reconciliation".
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation - 1 Cor. 5: 18
Why did God give the apostles the ministry of how to be reconciled to God instead of the good news of the kingdom?
Galatians 1: 8-9 says twice that if we preach a message other than what the apostles taught, we are cursed.New Testament occurrences of the term Gospel of _______ .
Gospel of Jesus Christ (or Christ ) – 12 times
Gospel of God – 7 times
Gospel of the kingdom – 4 times
Gospel of peace – 2 times
Gospel of the grace of God – 1 time
Gospel of your salvation – 1 time
Gospel of the uncircumcision – 1 time
Gospel of the circumcision – 1 time
Gospel of his Son – 1 time
Christians believe that the ministry of reconciliation through Jesus' Blood Covenant "for the forgiveness of sins" is the primary message during the church age.
After the church is removed from earth at the rapture where they "meet the lord in the air" (1 Thess. 4: 17), the message will be changed to "the good news of the kingdom" and will be preached by 144k male Jewish virgins during the GT after Christians are gone.
While Catholics and 1/3 of Evangelicals believe the Kingdom is symbolic(amillinnial), 2/3 of Evangeicals believe in a literal Kingdom on earth (Millinnial Reign) just as JW's do.
